4th September - Back to San Francisco to close the loop and fly home

Our final check-out this morning to drive the remaining 58 miles from Napa back in to San Francisco International Airport. We finally closed the loop around back to where we set off from 3 wonderful weeks of travelling ago. What a great trip, all went pretty much to plan and exceeded our expectations. Whale watching in Monterey, the Grand Canyon and of course Yosemite were the real highlights, Vegas was just mad and a great experience and the Meteor  Crater, Sedona and Death Valley amazing. Some real treasured memories.

More amazing hummingbirds just outside the hotel in Napa.

The fog rolling in San Francisco Bay as we crossed Bay Bridge toward the Airport.

Alcatraz in the mist.

The Alamo Car Rental reimbursed us the cost of the tyre replacement too - didn't expect that 😁, just time to relax in the Virgin Clubhouse before we board.

The highlighted map route showing our travels down the Pacific Coast, then back north west from Phoenix. Well done Helen, superb hotel bookings, map reading and photos ❤️
